The name doesn’t have a special meaning or background. That’s what I needed as singer/songwriter to complete my ideas and to make the sound round – and now we are here!ĪND THE NAME MILKY CHANCE, WHERE DID IT COME FROM? When we finished school I (Clemens) began to work on my own stuff but decided that I needed Philipp as an expert for making beats. We did a lot of experiments and had many experiences over the years both with music and the band. After a very short time we founded our first band, together with some other friends. We were on the same wavelength from the first day on, so we went home and decided to jam with each other. There we also began to talk about music, to got to know each other. We met each other in the eleventh grade in high school in the music class, where we both took music as an advanced course. LET’S START AT THE BEGINNING, HOW DID YOU GUYS COME TOGETHER? In a rare moment of down time we meet the pair to find out what else they’ve got up their sleeves. It seems to be working though, Clemens and Philipp have just finished a sold out 100 date tour of Europe.
The pair, who have notched up over 40million plays on YouTube for their breakout hit “Stolen Dance” have been friends since their school days, and now record in their self-built studio in their native Germany and use only their social media accounts to propel them further into our consciousness.

Filous, from the same beautiful city, gathered the most plays so far with his gorgeous take on Flashed Junk Mind. MOUNT from Vienna did ‘Something Good’ with Nicholas Haelg, but remixed Unkown Song all on his own, adding his signature rolling bassline. LCAW from the southern city of Münich did his thing on Running, and if we continue moving to the Southeast we end up in the country with another bunch of excellent producers taking on Milky Chance: Austria. For you to judge if it’s better than FlicFlac’s. Back in 2013 current big man Niklas Ibach was still collaborating with his friend Markus Spitta, one of their most succesful fruits being a remix of Down By The River. This doesn’t mean we’ve mentioned all Germans yet, cause they make up the majority of this selective list. A different kind of tropical touch was injected by Norwegian Le P, real name Piotr Kolacz, who was on the forefront of the tropical house movement with his over one year old remix.
